Homemade lemon mousse recipe

This is a homemade lemon mousse dessert that you can easily make with just 4 ingredients and add chocolate shavings or anything else to decorate if you want.

A homemade lemon mousse contains about 160 calories per 100 grams of product, so we recommend you try it occasionally as a dessert at a special event or as a treat, since it is high in fat and sugar.

Ingredients to make homemade lemon mousse:

  • 3 eggs
  • 300 ml of liquid cream for desserts (35% mt)
  • 350 g of condensed milk
  • 200-250 ml of natural lemon juice
  • Chocolate shavings to decorate (optional)

How to make homemade lemon mousse:

  1. Separate the whites from the yolks, putting the whites in a bowl to mount them.
  2. Whip the cream or milk cream for desserts.
  3. Add the 3 egg yolks to the condensed milk and stir well until integrated and then add the lemon juice, stirring constantly until a thick cream is obtained.
  4. Whip the egg whites until stiff.
  5. Add the beaten egg whites to the previous mixture little by little and with enveloping movements so as not to take away too much air from the homemade lemon mousse.
  6. Also add the whipped cream to the mixture, with enveloping movements until everything is fully integrated.
  7. Serve the homemade lemon mousse or mousse in individual containers, cover with plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge for at least 3 hours before eating.
