In this hazelnut spread recipe we have used toasted hazelnuts, but you can buy them raw and roast them in the oven. Also, if you like your paste to be sweet, you can add brown sugar to the mixture when you crush the hazelnuts, as well as sweetener or any other sugar you like. The amount will be to your liking, you just have to try and follow our steps to learn how to make homemade hazelnut cream quickly and easily.

Ingredients to make Homemade Hazelnut Cream:

  • 250 grams of toasted hazelnuts

How to make homemade Hazelnut Cream:

  1. Peel the skin and clean the hazelnuts. Put them in a food processor or a powerful food processor.
  2. You can cut them into pieces so that they are easier to grind when making the hazelnut cream with a blender.
  3. Go grinding in the robot little by little, stop and move the hazelnuts that remain on the walls of the robot so that those are also crushed well.
  4.  Continue like this until the hazelnuts are powdered.
  5. To do this you have to be patient, it costs a bit for everything to be crushed.
  6. Keep doing the same to prevent the hazelnuts from getting between the blades and not crushing well.
  7. Over time, a cream will form thanks to the heat of the machine and the fat that the hazelnuts will release. When a hazelnut paste forms, add some sugar if you want the sweet hazelnut cream.
  8. If you want to notice the hazelnuts a little bit in each bite, you can leave them completely uncrushed so that there are small lumps.
  9. And if you like it to look like a cream, keep blending until it looks like a spreadable cream.
  10. To preserve the hazelnut cream, put it in some glass jars and store it in the fridge. Take it out of the fridge a few minutes before using it.
