Homemade dried fig liqueur

Ingredients to make homemade dried fig liqueur:

  • 1/2 kilo of very healthy dried figs
  • 1/2 kilo of sugar made syrup
  • 2 cups of rhum (black rum)
  • 2 cups of cane brandy or better grape
  • 3 fresh fig leaves
  • 1 vanilla stick
  • 3 cloves

How to make homemade dried fig liqueur:

  • For this type of liquor, a wide-mouthed bottle is used, the figs are placed one by one, helping each other with an anti cucho stick in an orderly fashion and putting the dressings in the middle. The first day the rhum is added, the second day the brandy and the third day the syrup that must be clear.
  • Put it in the sun for a week and continue for 4 months in the shade in the place where you usually keep the liquors. At the end of the 4 months you can decide to strain it or leave it with the fruits inside, (I leave the fruits inside and then I use them for English cake.
