Ingredients to make homemade coffee eggnog:
For the eggnog:
- 4½ cups of milk (1080 milliliters)
- 1 can of condensed milk (400 ml)
- 4 large eggs (yolks)
- 3 tablespoons of liquid coffee or soluble coffee
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 175 milliliters of rum (optional)
- 1 tablespoon liquid vanilla
- For decoration:
- ½ cup whipped cream or meringue
- 1 mint leaf
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
How to make homemade coffee eggnog:
- Add the milk, condensed milk, egg yolks, coffee and cinnamon into a bowl. Stir very well until all the ingredients are integrated.
- Pour the mixture into a saucepan and cook over medium heat. Mix constantly for 15 minutes or until the preparation begins to boil slightly. Remove from heat.
- Pour the mixture into a bowl. Add the rum and vanilla, and stir very well until fully incorporated into the mixture. Coffee eggnog in just 3 steps!
- Tip: Rum and cinnamon are added at the end so that they maintain their flavor and do not lose intensity during cooking.
