Homemade Coconut Bounty Recipe

For those of us who love coconut, these bars filled with coconut and lightly layered with dark chocolate known as Coconut and Chocolate Bounty are pure addiction.

We all know this Bounty chocolate bar in its commercial format, but we all know what happens with all these commercial products, which usually contain not very recommendable ingredients, so in this article we stay with the healthy option and we are going to prepare some homemade Bounty.

You will see how easy it is to be able to make these delicious bars or coconut Bounty. In taste, they have nothing to envy to the purchase ones and at least, you will know well what they have inside.

Ingredients to make Homemade Coconut Bounty:

  • 150 grams of grated coconut (1½ cups)
  • 150 grams of condensed milk
  • 25 grams of softened butter
  • 250 grams of dark chocolate for desserts

How to make Homemade Coconut Bounty:

  1. To make our homemade Bounty, we are going to put the grated coconut in a bowl together with the condensed milk and the softened butter.
  2.  Mix well with a spatula.
  3. Tip: We can melt the butter a little in the microwave if it is cold.
  4. Line a tray with baking paper.
  5. We take small portions of the coconut and condensed milk mixture with our hands and form the chocolate bar bounty giving it an elongated shape.
  6.  We are placing the portions on the tray and once all the dough is used, we put the coconut bounty in the fridge so that they harden a bit (a few minutes will suffice).
  7. Chop the dark chocolate for desserts and melt it in the microwave, in short times, removing from the microwave and stirring until there are no lumps.
  8. We introduce the coconut bounty one by one into the chocolate and bathe them, removing the excess chocolate with the help of a fork.
  9. Tip: Use good quality couverture chocolate. You can also melt the chocolate in a bain-marie.
  10. Put the chocolate and coconut bounties back on the tray with the lined paper and put them in the fridge so that the chocolate solidifies.
  11. Once the homemade coconut bounty chocolate barsare cold, cut off the excess chocolate that normally remains on the base so that they are beautiful and ready to eat.
  12. You can also try these Bounty type vegan coconut bars or the classic homemade Twix bars if you prefer.
