Ingredients to make homemade strawberry brandy:

  • 1 kilogram of strawberry trees
  • 1 liter of pomace brandy
  • ½ kilogram of sugar
  • 250 milliliters of water

How to make homemade arbutus brandy:

  1. First, wash and drain the strawberry trees. Then dry them with a kitchen towel or absorbent paper.
  2. Place the water and sugar in a saucepan, and heat over low heat to dissolve the sugar. Once dissolved, remove the saucepan from the heat and allow it to cool.
  3. Place the strawberry trees in a previously sterilized glass jar and reserve a moment.
  4. Separately, mix the brandy with the cold syrup and, done this, pour the mixture over the strawberry trees.
  5. Close the glass jar and store the arbutus brandy in a dark place completely free of moisture for six months or a year
  6. After time, filter the liquor and store in bottles or serve. This strawberry brandy is delicious and is perfect to serve at parties, special events, or even during Christmas.
