Ingredients to make homemade strawberry brandy:
- 1 kilogram of strawberry trees
- 1 liter of pomace brandy
- ½ kilogram of sugar
- 250 milliliters of water
How to make homemade arbutus brandy:
- First, wash and drain the strawberry trees. Then dry them with a kitchen towel or absorbent paper.
- Place the water and sugar in a saucepan, and heat over low heat to dissolve the sugar. Once dissolved, remove the saucepan from the heat and allow it to cool.
- Place the strawberry trees in a previously sterilized glass jar and reserve a moment.
- Separately, mix the brandy with the cold syrup and, done this, pour the mixture over the strawberry trees.
- Close the glass jar and store the arbutus brandy in a dark place completely free of moisture for six months or a year
- After time, filter the liquor and store in bottles or serve. This strawberry brandy is delicious and is perfect to serve at parties, special events, or even during Christmas.
