  • 200 grams of sugar (1 cup)
  • 4 eggs
  • 250 grams of ground almonds
  • 1 lemon (its zest)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of icing sugar to decorate

How to make homemade almond cake:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Put the sugar with the eggs in a bowl and beat well for about 5 minutes (the more you beat, the more airy the almond cake dough will be).
  2. Add the ground almonds, the lemon zest and the teaspoon of cinnamon and mix well.
