Hake with broad beans recipe

Ingredients to make Hake with broad beans:

  • 400 gr. of hack
  • 1 bag of frozen beans
  • 2 onion
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 bay leaves
  • oil
  • Pepper

How to make Hake with broad beans:

  1. Cook the hake in half a liter of water together with a little oil, salt, bay leaf, and an onion.
  2. Peel and chop the other onion, sauté it in oil- Add to the casserole the paprika, the other bay leaf, the flour, the broth from cooking the strained fish and the beans without defrosting, season with salt and pepper.
  3. Let it boil for 20 minutes.
  4. Before finishing cooking, add the shredded hake.
  5. Scrape and wash the carrots, peppers, zucchini and leeks.
  6. Cut the ingredients into thin, long strips.
  7. Cook them, drain them and reserve.
  8. Cook the prawns in boiling salted water and peel them.
  9. Cut each hake loin in half lengthwise and season to taste.
  10. Fill them with the vegetables (reserve some for the sauce) and the prawns.
  11. Grease a dish with butter and place the hake loins.
  12. Water with the wine and a little stock and cook in the oven for about 10 minutes.
  13. Melt the butter in a pan, add the flour and let it brown.
  14. Pour the fumet and cook, stirring, until thick.
  15. Add to this béchamel 1 glass of American sauce and mix well.
  16. Cover the loins with the rest of the American sauce and garnish with the vegetables.
