Ingredients to make Lemon Hake:

  • 3 oil tablespoons
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 onion
  • 1 pinch of coloring
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 lemon
  • 600 grams of hake
  • 5 stock cube
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Lemon Hake:

  1. The fish, cut rather into large pieces, is placed in a clay pot.
  2. Add a grated onion, coloring, pepper, parsley, chopped garlic, oil, salt and half a stock cube.
  3. Cover with water and cook over low heat.
  4. Once the sauce is cooked and reduced, beat the eggs a little with a little salt.
  5. Lemon juice is added to these eggs.
  6. Pour it over the fish and when it starts to boil, cover the pan and remove from the heat.
  7. Since the clay conserves heat, the eggs have just curdled outside the fire.
  8. This dish can also be made with monkfish or another fish that does not have many bones.
