Hake recipe with brandy with potatoes

Ingredients to make brandy Hake with potatoes:

  • 4 slices of Hake
  • 50 milliliters of Brandy
  • 1 onion
  • 4 potatoes
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 8 Prawns
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 chili
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of Paprika
  • 1 glass of fish brother or water
  • 1 small glass of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sal

How to make Brandy Hake with Potatoes:

  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into not too thick slices. Salt and fry in abundant hot oil until tender. Take them out and put them on kitchen paper to release excess oil.
  2. Then, we place them in the bottom of a casserole forming a bed.
  3. Next, we salt the hake and pass it lightly in flour. We heat oil in the same pan where we made the potatoes and fry the fish on both sides.
  4. Remove the excess oil with the help of an absorbent napkin and place the hake on the bed of potatoes that we have in the casserole. We booked.
  5. To make the base sauce for our hake in sauce recipe, peel the garlic and onion and cut them into small pieces. Fry this together with the chili over low heat and keep it without turning brown.
  6. Wash and chop the tomatoes, add them to the sauce and continue frying until the tomato water is consumed.
  7. Then add the paprika and the tablespoon of flour, stirring until fully integrated. When it has cooked, add the brandy together with the fish brother. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
  8. When the sauce is at its point and the alcohol has been consumed, we remove the chili pepper and crush everything. We pour it on the bed of reserved hake, we put the peeled prawns on top and we put the fire not too strong.
  9. We wait for it to come to a boil and then we turn off the heat, remove the casserole and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  10. This delicious dish of brandy made with potatoes does not need any extra garnish but if you want you can accompany it with a little white rice.
