Ground Beef Tacos Recipe

Ingredients to make Ground Beef Tacos:

For the ground beef tacos

• 500 grams of ground beef

• 1 medium potato

• 2 tablespoons of concentrated tomato puree

• 1 white onion

• 1 clove garlic

• 10 green olives pitted and stuffed with pepper

• 1 teaspoon of oregano

• 1 teaspoon of hot paprika (can be sweet)

• 1 teaspoon cumin

• 2 ounces of white tequila

• 1 handful of fresh parsley

• 10 milliliters of olive oil

• 1 pinch of salt and pepper

For the sauce

• 1 purple onion

• 1 tomato

• 1 Serrano chili

• 1 handful of coriander

• 1 green lemon

• 30 milliliters of olive oil

To accompany

• 1 avocado

• 2 lettuce leaves

• 1 cup sour cream

• 1 dozen corn tortillas

How to make Ground Beef Tacos:

Wash and disinfect the vegetables to start preparing the tacos, as well as the kitchen instruments. On a board, finely chop the white onion and grate the garlic. Reserve these ingredients.

Tip: If you don’t have a greater, you can perfectly mince the garlic. It doesn’t change the taste.

Chop the olives with pepper, chop the parsley and reserve. Cut the potato into very small cubes and cook it in a pot of boiling water.

Add the spices to the meat and salt and pepper to taste so that your ground beef tacos have just the right point.

Tip: Remember that if the spicy paprika seems too heavy, you can perfectly substitute it with sweet paprika.

By this point, the potatoes should already be cooked, so drain them and add them to the stew. Cook everything together for 5 minutes to integrate the ingredients.

Tip: You can save a little of the water from cooking the potatoes in case your meat is a little dry. This will depend on the amount of fat that your meat has.

Prepare two ounces of white tequila in a glass and have a lighter or matches handy. Add the tequila to the meat and flame. Remember that flaming is dangerous, so make sure you have your range hood turned off and take the necessary precautions. If you prefer not to flame, you can add the tequila and let it cook for 5 minutes. You can skip this step if you wish.

Tip: Two ounces of tequila equals 60 ml.

Reduce the temperature and cover the pan. While the filling is just cooking, prepare the sauce that will accompany the ground beef tacos, known as “Pico de Gallo “. To do this, cut the onion and tomato into small cubes, cut the Serrano pepper in half, remove the veins and seeds and chop it into small cubes. Finely chop some coriander and add all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix everything, adding the olive oil and the juice of one lemon.

Trick: Use a glove or a napkin to devein the chili, this way you avoid any type of irritation.

Tip: Fried tortillas have a great flavor, but they are not as healthy, so you can also heat them without any fat.
