  • 1 kilogram of monkfish tail
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 handful of parsley
  • 1 splash of olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Grilled Monkfish:

  1. Prepare the ingredients.
  2. Clean the anglerfish tail of skins. If you want, you can remove the central spine as well.
  3. Add a little salt to the monkfish. Put a griddle on the fire and, when it is very hot, put a thread of oil and put the monkfish on top.
  4. In a glass, put the garlic and parsley with a good jet of oil.
  5. Blend the mixture to make a simple green sauce that will accompany your grilled fish.
  6. Let the fish cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, depending on its thickness. When it’s done, turn it off. You do not have to leave the fish well done since it must be juicy. Your grilled snuff will be ready! Serve with the garlic, oil and parsley mixture and enjoy.

Grilled monkfish – Garnish and calories

As we mentioned before, grilled monkfish is an ideal dish to lose weight. It only contains around 86 calories per 100g. At the same time, it is a rich source of phosphorus and potassium, and provides us with about 17 g of protein.

All of this makes monkfish a very nutritious white fish that, accompanied by a garnish of green salad, a stir-fry of vegetables, rice or baked potatoes, becomes a perfect option for a light and healthy lunch.

If you don’t mind adding little more calories, you can also accompany your monkfish with your favorite fish sauces, such as a delicious green sauce or white sauces.
