Tacos are one of the most representative dishes of Mexican cuisine. So much so that it is commonly said that everything that can be put inside a tortilla is considered a taco. - 2 avocado
- 2 green Serrano peppers
- 8 green tomatoes
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon of pepper
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
How to make Carne Asada Tacos:
Get the ingredients ready before you start preparing the carne asada tacos recipe, this way you will be able to see if you are missing something and cook much faster. Place the milk in a container and add half of the finely chopped onion, the garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix to incorporate all the ingredients, add the meat and let it marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
Tip: You can marinate the meat overnight if you want, this way it will be juicier and have a much more concentrated flavor.
Apart, peel and wash the tomatoes and chilies, place them in the blender and add the remaining onion, the peeled clove of garlic, a pinch of salt and the pulp of the avocados. As we said at the beginning, there are different types of carne asada tacos, although the most popular are those from Tijuana, Sinaloa and Monterrey.
- To make the Tijuana-style roast beef tacos, you must close them by giving them a cone shape and present them like this.
- Sinaloa style carne asada tacos have chopped cabbage and do not close in the shape of a cone. In addition, the tortillas are also passed through the pan or grill to toast them a little.
- Monterey – style carne asada tacos typically shred the meat once cooked.
