To obtain spaghetti in green sauce, we have used poblano peppers and spinach, ingredients that provide an intense green color to the recipe. In this way, we will be able to obtain a dish with an exquisite presentation, which will make even the little ones want to try it and, therefore, consume this vegetable that brings so many benefits to their body. Likewise, the recipe that we show is also ideal to serve during Christmas, Thanksgiving, or any other designated date.

Ingredients to make Green Spaghetti with Spinach:

  1. 1 package of Spaghetti
  2. 1 bunch of spinach
  3. 2 pieces of Chile poblano
  4. 1 cup of sour cream
  5. 1 cup of Milk (240 milliliters)
  6. ½ piece of Onion
  7. 1 clove garlic
  8. 2 tablespoons of Oil
  9. 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon powder
  10. 1 pinch of salt
  11. 1 pinch of Pepper
  12. 5 pieces of whole black pepper

How to make Green Spaghetti with Spinach:

  • You can see the ingredients that we will use to prepare this delicious dish of green spaghetti with spinach.
  • We are going to start the spaghetti recipe by roasting the poblano peppers. To do this, we place the chilies directly on the stove fire, and we change their position every 10 seconds, ensuring that the entire surface of the chili is exposed to the flame and cooks perfectly well.
  • Once roasted, we put the chills in a plastic bag, close it perfectly and leave them inside for a moment. By doing this, it will be much easier for us to pearl the chills when cleaning them.
  • On the other hand, in a saucepan we bring water to a boil, adding a piece of onion, a clove of garlic, whole black pepper, a splash of oil and a pinch of salt. When it starts to boil, add the pasta and let it cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  • When the pasta is ready, remove it from the hot water, pass it through cold water and reserve it for a moment.
  • Then, to continue with the Mexican green spaghetti recipe, we heat some water and, when it boils, remove the pot from the heat and add the cleaned and disinfected spinach leaves. We leave them for two minutes so that they soften and are half cooked. In this way, we will be able to keep all its properties intact, such as its high fiber content, its antioxidant, diuretic and digestive properties.
  • Once the poblano chills are ready, we proceed to clean them perfectly, removing the skin, seeds and veins that they may contain. Once clean, to make the Mexican green sauce that will accompany the spaghetti, we add them to the blender with a piece of onion, the remaining garlic clove, the chicken broth powder, the cream, the milk, a pinch of salt and the spinach. Then, we proceed to blend until a homogeneous cream is obtained.
  • Separately, heat a little oil in a saucepan and, when it is ready, add the green sauce that we have just formed and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  • After this time, add the pasta and stir well to integrate everything perfectly. Let the spaghetti in green sauce season for 5 more minutes over low heat.
  • Ready! Now we can serve the dish of green spaghetti with spinach accompanied by pieces of chopped spinach.
