Green Plantain and Coriander Soup Recipe

Ingredients to make Green Banana and Cilantro Soup:

  • 1 green banana
  • 2 slices of green onion
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 150 grams of Peas
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 500 milliliters of rib or beef broth
  • 150 grams of fresh coriander
  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper

How to make Green Plantain and Cilantro Soup:

  1. Pre-list the ingredients on the work table to speed up all the processes when cooking our soup.
  2. We start by working with the green banana, remove the skin and cut thick slices as seen in the photo.
  3. With the green plantain you can make many recipes such as plantain to stones or the exquisite plantain ceviche, do not forget to try them.
  4. Next, place the broth in a deep pot and heat over medium heat until it boils. Then, add all the vegetables and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  7. Remove and flatten slightly with the help of a kitchen board.
  8. Place the plantain chips back in the pan with oil and fry them again until they are golden brown and slightly crispy.
  9. Remove to a plate with absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
  10. Add the plantains to our soup along with the finely chopped cilantro. Continue cooking for another 10 minutes and turn off the heat.
  11. Serve our green plantain and cilantro soup and enjoy.
