Green Beans Recipe

Green beans, also known as peas, have important nutritional values ​​and multiple benefits for our body. They have a high content of vitamin A, iron, phosphorus and potassium, so it is highly recommended to include them in our diet always in a balanced way with other foods. In this recipe we teach you how to prepare a very nutritious and flavorful stew with green beans, don’t miss it!

Ingredients to make Green Beans:

  • 1 kilogram of green beans (in pod)
  • 1 unit of green banana
  • 1 unit of large carrot
  • 1 kilogram of pork legs
  • 1 bunch of coriander
  • 1 unit of white onion
  • 3 units of ripe tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 bouillon concentrate cubes
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make Green Beans:

1 Take a large pressure cooker and add the green beans with approximately three liters of water. Add salt to taste, the peeled carrot and the previously washed pork legs. Let everything cook over medium heat for 40 minutes. We have used these ingredients, but if you wish you can add more, such as two potatoes and beef to taste.

2 When the beans are soft, remove the carrot and pig’s feet from the pot to prevent them from falling apart. In another separate pot, prepare a stew with the oil, the tomatoes and the chopped onion.

3 Reserve the previous stew when it is ready and take a container with a tall and large rim. In this container you must incorporate a little of the broth from the green beans, the carrot that you removed, the green plantain cut into small pieces and raw, the bunch of cilantro, the tomato and onion stew, the broth concentrate and process it all until smooth. Is well crushed.

4 When you have the mixture ready, add it to the pot where you have the beans and heat it all together until it boils. When it reaches the boiling point, lower the heat to a minimum and let it cook until the beans acquire a thick consistency.

5 Once the green beans are finished, serve them hot and accompanied by the pork legs, white rice and plantain chips. As you can see, it is a very tasty and easy recipe to prepare.
