Grain Salad Recipe

This mixed grain salad is ideal to serve as a side to any meat or fish, or as an appetizer with some Mexican tortillas. Keep reading and learn to prepare this delicious Mexican salad.

Ingredients to make Grain Salad:

• 1 can of Chickpeas

• 1 can of Red Kidney Beans

• 1 can of Pink Beans

• 1 can of Pinto Beans

• 1 can of White Beans

• 1 can of Black eye beans

• ¾ cup olive oil

• 0.3 cup of white vinegar

• 2 cups of chopped onion

• 2 cups of chopped tomato

• ¾ cup Recede or chopped cilantro

• 1 pinch of salt to taste

How to make Grain Salad:

We open and drain all the cans of grains. Then, pour all the ingredients into a bowl and mix well.

Let rest for an hour in the fridge before serving. After this time, we serve on lettuce leaves as a salad or as a companion to our favorite dish. We can also serve this recipe as a starter, adding chopped Mexican chilies (jalapeños).

It can be prepared in advance and kept in the fridge for 5 days, well covered. In summer, we can add 2 chopped mangoes to give a sweet touch to the grain salad.
