Golden Shrimp Tacos Recipe

Ingredients to make Golden Shrimp Tacos:

  • 500 grams of clean shrimp
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 Serrano chills, chopped
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • Oil
  • 45 grams of butter
  • 1 pinch of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons of water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 15 corn tortillas

How to make Golden Shrimp Tacos:

  1. Heat a splash of oil with a tablespoon of butter in a pot or pan. Sauté the onion and minced garlic cloves until lightly browned.
  2. Add the tomato and the chopped Serrano chills. Season with a pinch of salt and add another tablespoon of butter. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. While the vegetables are frying, chop the shrimp into small or medium pieces. Remember that the shrimp must be clean without shell.
  4. Trick: you can also substitute pre-cooked shrimp or prepare your dried shrimp golden tacos, which you will have to boil before hand.
  5. Add to the pot a tablespoon of wheat flour and two tablespoons of water. Stir for 3 minutes while the flour cooks.
  6. Tip: the flour will add consistency to the stew and it will be very easy to put it in the taco.
  7. Next, add the shrimp and the last tablespoon of butter. Taste for salt and rectify to taste. Let cook another 3-4 minutes until the shrimp is golden. Remove from heat and reserve
  8. To assemble your golden shrimp tacos, heat the corn tortillas so that they bend without breaking. Next, add a heaping tablespoon of stew and close the tortilla with the help of some wooden toothpicks.
  9. Fry the tacos in enough oilfor a few minutes until the tortilla is golden. Remove and let rest on a plate with absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
