Gazpacho recipe without bread or cucumber

Homemade gazpacho is a traditional dish of Spanish cuisine that consists of a cold tomato and cucumber-based soup. However, this does not mean that we cannot customize the recipe a bit and give it our touches. In this gazpacho recipe without bread or cucumber I have substituted these ingredients for pear and the result is exquisite. This fruit brings a sweet touch that you will love. I haven’t added pepper either, so this easy gazpacho recipe is super smooth and light… And it doesn’t make you fat if you don’t overdo it with the oil!

Ingredients to make Gazpacho without bread or cucumber:

  • 5 tomatoes
  • 1 pear
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 splash of vinegar
  • 1 splash of oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups of water (approximately)
  • 1 pinch of hemp seeds (optional)
  • 1 handful of croutons (optional)

How to make Gazpacho without bread or cucumber:

  1. To prepare this gazpacho without bread and without cucumber, first peel and clean the pear. I have used unpeeled tomatoes, but if you prefer, you can also peel the tomatoes. Cut them into pieces.
  2. Place the pear and tomatoes in the blender, add a good splash of oil and vinegar, salt and a cup of water. While the gazpacho without cucumber and without bread is being ground, gradually add more water until you get the desired texture.
  3. Put the gazpacho without pepper to cool in the fridge and when it is very cold, serve it on plates or bowls.
  4. Sprinkle a handful of hemp seeds on top and put some croutons to decorate the pear gazpacho if you wish.
