Garlic soup with clams and ham recipe

Ingredients to make Garlic Soup with Clams and Ham:

  • For 4 people:
  • 1 loaf of bread the day before
  • ½ kg. of clams
  • 200 grams of ham
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 liters of vegetable broth
  • Hojiblanca extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • parsley

How to make Garlic Soup with Clams and Ham:

  1. With a serrated knife, cut the bread into half-moons and put it to fry in a pan with a little oil.
  2. Stir it while it toasts a bit.
  3. Strain over the vegetable broth. Season and cook for 15 minutes.
  4. Clean the clams, add them and cook until they open.
  5. Peel, chop the garlic cloves and put them in the mortar. Add a little salt and chopped parsley and mash everything well
  6. Pour the mashed into the soup and bring to a brief boil.
  7. Chop the ham and sauté it in a pan with a little oil.
  8. Add it to the soup, mix and serve in a tureen.
