Garlic Parsley Butter Recipe

Garlic and parsley butter is one of the most popular butters out there, probably thanks to the delicious classic garlic bread that we all know, although we can give it many more uses, such as an ingredient for garlic dishes. The easy and quick recipe that we detail below is a guide to flavor the butter you have at home, turning it into a special and rich garlic and parsley butter.

Ingredients to make Parsley Garlic Butter:

  • 100 grams of butter
  • 2 sprigs of parsley
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

How to make Parsley Garlic Butter:

1 First we prepare all the ingredients, for this the butter must be at room temperature, almost on the verge of melting. Chop the garlic finely and then into very small pieces, the same with the parsley. Note that if you don’t have fresh parsley you can also use Herbs de Provence, the flavor will be just as good.

2 Use a mortar and crush the garlic with the herbs, add a little pepper, a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of mustard. Be careful with the salt, if the base butter that you will use already comes with salt, avoid adding more. This first mixture will be what will flavor our garlic and parsley butter.

3 Then mix the previous preparation with the butter. You can use an electric mixer to completely integrate all the ingredients, do not stop mixing until you get a creamy dough and until you see that all the ingredients are well distributed. You can also make the parsley-garlic butter mixture by hand.

4 Spread the mixture on transparent plastic wrap and make a butter roll by screwing the ends well. It should be a large cylindrical shaped candy. Take this Parsley Garlic Butter Roll to the fridge and wait for it to harden.

5 When it has hardened, you can use the butter for garlic bread or any other delicacy that you fancy, such as garlic prawns.

Tricks

  • You can keep the roll of butter in the freezer and cut slices of the quantities you need at the moment.
  • If you use stick butter, you can reuse the same wrapper to refrigerate it instead of using plastic wrap.
