Fried prawns with sweet and sour sauce recipe

Ingredients to make fried prawns with sweet and sour sauce:

  • 10 units of Shelled Prawns
  • 200 grams of flour
  • 1 unit of Egg
  • Sweet and sour sauce
  • 250 milliliters of mango pulp
  • 80 grams of white onion
  • 1 pinch of Nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of powdered ginger
  • 1 pinch of Spicy powder
  • 1 jet of white vinegar
  • 2 dessert spoons of Sugar
  • 1 splash of sunflower oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of Pepper

How to make fried prawns with sweet and sour sauce:

  • Before making the fried prawns, the first step is to prepare all the ingredients.
  • To make the sweet and sour sauce, in a saucepan, sauté the finely chopped onion until soft, season with salt and pepper.
  • Then add the mango pulp, ginger, spices, nutmeg, and a splash of vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes until you get a thick sauce. Reserve.
  • To make the fried prawns, mix the egg, flour, salt, pepper and a splash of water very well, until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. This mixture will be the batter
  • It is time to season the prawns and add them to the previous mixture until they are completely bathed. Then fry in oil at medium heat for 5 minutes until golden.
  • When they are ready, drain on absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
