Fried Meat Empanadas Recipe

Ingredients to make Fried Meat Empanadas:

Dough

• 4 cups of corn flour (480 grams)

• 200 grams of butter

• 1 teaspoon paprika

• 1 pinch of salt

• 1 jet of water

Filling

• 1 kilogram of minced meat

• 750 grams of onion

• 250 grams of onion

• 1 unit of red pepper

• 4 units of hardboiled egg

• 100 grams of Raisins

• 100 grams of green olives

• 1 pinch of ground paprika

• 1 pinch of Cumin

• 1 pinch of ground cloves

• 1 pinch of ground chili

• 1 pinch of salt

• 2 teaspoons of sugar

How to make Fried Beef Empanadas:

We will start by preparing the dough for the meat empanadas. For them, mix the flour, the butter cut into pieces, salt, paprika, you can use an electric mixer or a mixer. Then add water and knead until a smooth, soft dough forms.

Let rest for about 30 minutes, stretch the dough on a flat surface and cut disc-shaped pieces with the help of a glass or a cylinder. The dough should be about a centimeter thick; remember that it will yield more or less depending on the size in which you decide to make your fried meat empanadas.

Now we will proceed to prepare the filling. First fry the onion and the pepper and when it is almost ready add the chives and finally the meat. Cook over medium heat for a few minutes until the meat is ready.

Once the meat is ready, add the eggs cut into small pieces, the raisins, the olives and add all the spices, including the sugar, to the sauce. Mix very well and correct the seasoning if necessary.

Next, prepare the meat empanadas, let the filling cool and place a portion in the center of each disc of dough. Close each empanada well by crushing the edges with a fork. Fry in abundant oil and enjoy them freshly made.
