Ingredients to make Fried Dorada:
- 2 units of fresh sea bream
- 6 units of Lemon
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 pinch of Pepper
- 1 pinch of Thyme (optional)
How to make Fried Dorada:
- The first step to prepare this delicious fried fish will be to wash the sea breams. Pass them through cold water, remove the scales, the excess entrails and make three transversal cuts on both sides of the fish as seen in the photo.
- Next we proceed to salt the fish. To do this, fearlessly pour salt into the cuts made in the meat. Also add salt inside the sea bream.
- Then place each sea bream in plastic molds and add the lemon juice. Make the juice completely permeate the fish by squeezing the juice directly onto the cuts.
- Finally season to taste on both sides. I have used pepper and ground thyme that give it a very good flavor. Distribute the spices everywhere, including the inside of the fish. Let the fish marinate for about 15 minutes.
- Finally, heat plenty of oil in a cauldron. When the oil is already very hot, fry the sea bream one by one. Be careful because it will jump a bit. Help yourself with a wooden spoon and spray oil through the openings of the fish.
- After a few minutes, turn it over and brown the other side of the fish. The fried sea bream should have a crispy layer and the meat inside is very tender.
- Then let the fish drain in a colander or on absorbent paper to remove excess oil. And while the other sea bream is cooking you can prepare a Pico de Gallo as a garnish.
- Serve the fish with some lemon wedges and accompany with a fresh and citrus garnish.
