Fried Chickpeas Recipe with Chicken Pieces

Ingredients to make Fried Chickpeas with Chicken Bits:

  • 5 slices of bacon
  • 1 15-ounce can chickpeas, cooked in water and salt
  • 1 small can of precooked chicken nuggets

How to make Fried Chickpeas with Chicken Bits:

  1. In a large skillet, brown the bacon over low heat until it renders its fat. Remove the bacon and drain on absorbent paper. Let it cool, crumble it and reserve.
  2. Add the drained chickpeas to the pan and brown them over moderate heat, stirring occasionally so they don’t stick. Drain them on absorbent paper.
  3. Reheat the chicken pieces. Combine the three ingredients and serve on a fresh lettuce leaf or with the main dish of your choice.
