Ingredients to make French-style Hake Fillet:
- 6 pcs. hake fillet
- 1 pinch salt
- Pepper
- 1/2 cch. peppercorns
- 1 ram. bay leaf
- 1 ram. parsley
- 50 g. butter
- 1 pc. onion
- 1 can(s) tomatoes
- 1/2 glass(s) dry white wine
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 pc. grated cheese
- 1 pc. chopped parsley
How to make French-style Hake Fillet:
- Place enough water in a saucepan to cover the fillets.
- Add the salt, peppercorns, bay leaf and parsley and boil for 5 minutes.
- Arrange the fillets in the saucepan and let them simmer slowly until they are cooked.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan and cook the onion, add the tomatoes and cook until a sauce forms.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper and thicken with the cornstarch diluted in the wine.
- Stir constantly until it boils and thickens.
- Drain the fillets and place them in a baking dish, without layering.
- Cover with the tomato sauce, make a rim with the mashed potatoes and bake in the oven until the mashed potatoes are golden.
- Derve sprinkled with grated cheese and chopped parsley.
