Ingredients to make Flan in an express pot:

  1. 4 eggs
  2. 1 can of condensed milk
  3. 1 can of evaporated milk
  4. 100 grams of Sugar (½ cup)

How to make Flan in an express pot:

  • We will make the mixture of our homemade flan with a blender, then put the two milk together with the eggs and beat until a liquid and homogeneous mixture is obtained.
  • In an aluminum or flanera mold, place the sugar and put on a low heat to caramelize little by little. Then you can add the mixture from the blender on top.
  • If you have doubts about this step you can see the recipe for liquid caramel. And remember that this flan in an express pot is better to do in a large mold and not in individual containers, as we can do with baked flans.
  • In the pressure cooker you must add water, which must be enough to cover ¾ parts of the mold. Place the mold covered and then place the lid and the pressure regulator.
  • You should cook the flan like this for approximately 25 minutes, with a high flame. After this time, lower the flame to medium heat and cook for another 30 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and wait for the homemade flan to come to room temperature. Then, let it cool in the refrigerator for approximately 30 minutes.
  • Finally, remove from the cold and you can unmold the dessert with a knife, taking off the edges well. Enjoy this wonderful flan in an express pot decorated with a little whipped cream or seasonal fruits.
