Ingredients to make Flamed Irish Coffee:

  • 1 cup of coffee (2 long espressos)
  • 1 dessert spoon of sugar
  • 30 milliliters of Whiskey
  • 90 grams of whipping cream
  • 15 grams of white sugar

How to make Irish Coffee Flamed:

  • The first thing to do is mount the cream so that later the assembly is as fast as possible. Put the butterfly on the blades add the cream and the white sugar. If you want to make the cream with the thermomix you must program at speed 3 ½ and stop the machine when we have the semi-whipped cream, it usually takes about 20 seconds. If you want to prepare the cream for Irish coffee, here we explain how.
  • Put water in a small cup and heat in the microwave for 40 seconds. It doesn’t matter if it boils. What we want is for the cup to be hot.
  • Remove the water from the cup and put the whiskey. Set it on fire with a lighter, always being careful not to burn yourself. Put a little bit of the brown sugar in the teaspoon and place it on top of the flame so that it caramelizes.
  • When the caramel starts to bubble, mix it with the whiskey and continue burning. In this step we can let the flame burn out or we can turn it off by putting a small plate on top.
  • Divide the whiskey between the two coffees that we had reserved. Decorate with the semi-whipped cream and finish off with a few granules of brown sugar on top. Serve the Irish coffee right away. Here we leave you the recipe for traditional Irish coffee without cream
