Fish Nuggets and Surimi Recipe

These delicious fish and surimi nuggets are perfect to give to children at lunchtime, an original way for the little ones to consume fish. With this recipe you can make easy and delicious nuggets that you can also mold to give them fun shapes and make the presentation even more creative for children.

Ingredients to make Fish Nuggets and Surimi:

  • 1 white fish fillet
  • 50 grams of Surimi
  • 1 sprig of parsley
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 80 grams of breadcrumbs
  • 1 unit of Egg
  • 500 milliliters of sunflower oil
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

How to make Surimi Fish Nuggets:

1 Before making the nuggets for children, the first step is to prepare all the ingredients.

2 In a processor, finely chop the parsley and the garlic clove.

3 Add the fish fillet and the surimi cut into pieces, blend very well until a homogeneous mixture is obtained, season with salt and pepper.

4 Add half the egg and mix very well until you get a paste. Transfer the fish nuggets dough to the refrigerator and refrigerate until the mixture has hardened and is easy to handle.

5 Form small balls and go through the egg and the bread to make the batter. They must be completely breaded. Remember that you can make fun shapes with the dough, like fish or stars.

6 Fry the nuggets at medium heat for 8 minutes until golden brown. Keep an eye on the temperature of the oil so the kid nuggets don’t burn before they’re cooked through.

7 Serve the fish nuggets and surimi with a cold yogurt sauce or a little egg-free mayonnaise.
