Ingredients to make Festive Rice:
- 1 cup of precooked rice preferably
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1/2 small white onion finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves finely minced
- 3/4 of cup of white pine nuts
- 1 Serrano pepper without seeds finely chopped or if you want it spicier you put more
- 250 grams of finely chopped Serrano ham, preferably slightly thickly sliced so that the ham is cubed
- oil the necessary
How to make Festive Rice:
- Heat a little oil in a pot over low heat. Once hot, fry the onion and garlic, taking care that the garlic does not burn, otherwise it will make the preparation bitter. When the garlic releases its aroma, add the rice, pine nuts and the chili, fry for 2 more minutes, mixing all the ingredients well. After that time, add the hot chicken broth. Cook over low heat and cover until the broth evaporates. If the broth evaporates and the rice still feels slightly hard with the same heat that remains and the covered pot will finish cooking. Once it is cooked, add the Serrano ham and mix well. Serve and decorate with a strip of Serrano ham.
