Easy Lentils with Chorizo ​​Recipe

Easy lentils with chorizo ​​are a very typical recipe in Spain, which we have made with vegetables that you can have at home and in a short time. Do not deprive yourself of a good vegetable stew when you feel like it, now you have no excuse.

Ingredients to make easy lentils with chorizo:

  • 150 grams of Lentils
  • 1 green pepper
  • 2 Carrot
  • 1 ripe tomato
  • 1 onion
  • 1 pinch of ground white pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of ground cumin
  • 40 grams of fresh Chorizo
  • 1 jet of olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic

How to make easy lentils with chorizo:

  1. We gather all the ingredients to prepare these easy lentils with chorizo. Remember that to cook legumes like these; you must soak them for at least 2 hours before preparing them.
  2. In a pot, fry the whole garlic with the onion cut into medium pieces. Let them cook for 4 minutes.
  3. Next, we add the pepper cut into not very large pieces, as seen in the image. Let cook another 3 minutes.
  4. Add the grated tomato, add salt, white pepper and a little ground cumin. Move and let it cook for 4 minutes over low heat.
  5. Add the carrots, peeled and cut into not very thin slices. We remove.
  6. Add the drained lentils, cover with water and add a little more salt. Let the lentils cook for about 25 minutes.
  7. Finally, add the chorizo ​​cut into slices, let it cook for 5 minutes and remove.
  8. Tip: If you want you can add other sausages such as black pudding, salty ribs or bacon.
