Easy Galician Broth Recipe

Ingredients to make easy Galician broth:

  • A bowl of White Beans
  • A piece of lacon
  • A piece of aged bacon
  • 3 large potatoes
  • Some kale leaves
  • A piece of slightly rancid lard
  • A garlic

How to make easy Galician broth:

  1. Put the beans to soak in cold water overnight, and the pork shoulder in lukewarm water.
  2. In a large saucepan with plenty of cold water, cook the beans, the pork shoulder and the bacon.
  3. When the beans are half cooked, add the chopped cabbage.
  4. Once everything is cooked, add the potatoes cut into large pieces.
  5. In the pan melt the lard.
  6. When it is very hot, brown the garlic and add it to the broth.
  7. Season with salt and cook for another hour.
  8. It has to be hot.
