Easy Cream of Spinach Recipe

Ingredients to make easy Cream of Spinach:

  • 4 bunches of spinach
  • 2 tablespoons of Margarine
  • 2 tablespoons of flour without preparing
  • 3 cups of water (720 milliliters)
  • 1 double chicken bouillon cube
  • 2 cups of milk (480 milliliters)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 3 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese
  • Diced fried bread

How to make Easy Cream of Spinach:

  1. To start preparing the vegetable cream, the first thing you should do is wash the spinach leaves well. Then, cook them in very little water and blend them when they are cooked.
  2. In a separate saucepan, melt the margarine and combine it with the flour, the milk, a little bread and the double broth cubes. Another totally valid option is to add homemade vegetable broth instead of the pills. In this case, you should add the broth little by little so as not to obtain a cream that is too liquid.
  3. Let the previous preparation boil and, when it thickens, add salt and pepper to taste. Then, add the spinach puree, bring to a boil and add the Parmesan cheese to give an additional touch of flavor to the cream of vegetables.
  4. If you want, you can re-blend the cream with an electric hand mixer to ensure you get a smooth, even mixture without any lumps. Serve the spinach cream hot and with the cubes of fried bread to taste.
