Dorada recipe in tomato sauce and peas

In this step-by-step recipe we are going to prepare some gilthead bream with peas, a very simple and light fish dish. Sometimes it is difficult to make fish in sauce because of the bones, so I have prepared some filleted gilthead bream that I cleaned at the fishmonger.

For this recipe I have used sea bream, it has tender meat and a mild flavor, but it can also be prepared with other fish, so you have no excuse not to try this delicious sea bream in tomato sauce and peas , we assure you that it will be a dish that the whole family will enjoy

Ingredients to make Dorada in tomato sauce and peas:

  • 4 Dorada fillets (1 per serving)
  • 4 ripe tomatoes
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 medium onion
  • 300 grams of canned or frozen peas
  • 150 milliliters of white wine
  • 1 glass of water
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of Pepper

How to make Dorada in tomato sauce and peas:

  1. The first step to prepare our recipe with sea bream fillets will be to chop the garlic and onion, all very small.
  2. On the other hand we grate the tomatoes to make the pea sauce.
  3. Having these first ingredients ready, we put a frying pan with a little oil and we begin to poach the garlic and the onion.
  4. When the onion begins to take on a little color, we add the grated tomato and sauté the whole.
  5. We let it cook for about 5 minutes, being careful not to stick, and then we add the peas.
  6. We continue preparing our sauce for the sea bream fillets, adding the glass of wine. We let it reduce for a couple of minutes all together.
  7. We put half a glass of water and take the opportunity to season the sea bream fillets. This recipe for fish with tomato and peas can be made with other fish such as hake or even cod.
  8. We put the already seasoned fish fillets in the casserole.
  9. Cover and let it cook for 8-10 minutes or until the fish is ready. The sauce will reduce and the flavors will be concentrated in a plate with a wonderful golden sauce.
  10. Uncover the casserole, taste for salt and rectify if necessary and that’s it. This quick and easy dish of sea bream in tomato sauce and peas is great for a weekend meal.
