This homemade popcorn recipe comes with two additional toppings that are perfect for mixing if you don’t know how to make curry popcorn. First there is the base recipe which is curry and corn kernels. The first additional option is: honey and curry. The second additional option is: curry, lemon and coriander. All three versions are very easy to prepare. For the base recipe you only need a saucepan with very hot oil and add the curry to the popcorn. You cook, shake a little and… voila! Add salt, if you prefer.

For the first additional dressing option: you add a curry and honey dressing to the base recipe. You just need to mix the honey and curry. Yes, it’s that easy! You mix the paste obtained with the corn popcorn and that’s it. The second optional dressing is curry, lemon and coriander. Add this dressing to the curry popcorn base recipe. The mix is simple: lemon juice, lemon zest, and curry and coriander bits. Then, you mix everything with the homemade popcorn. The amount of curry, in all the options, also depends on your taste.

Ingredients to make Curry Popcorn:

Curried Popcorn – Base:

• 1 cup of popcorn corn

• 6 tablespoons of curry

• Optional first dressing:

• 6 tablespoons of curry

• 3 tablespoons of honey

• Second optional dressing:

• 1 tablespoon of Curry

• 1 pinch of grated lemon

• 1 splash of lemon juice

How to make Curried Popcorn:

Only three ingredients! Yes, I told you, this culinary option is cheap and delicious. Plus, you have the choice of three optional toppings to enrich the flavor of your curried popcorn. Hmm! Use a saucepan, pour oil into it and wait until it is very hot. Cover the saucepan with a lid. Thus, the popcorn will not jump everywhere.

The popcorn is ready when you don’t hear any more pops. Clever! You can now taste the popcorn with curry by sprinkling a pinch of the spice on top and mixing everything well. Cook them for a few minutes, shake a little and add salt to taste if you want. This is the final step. Yes, it’s that simple! However, I have other additional options for you to enjoy.

Place the popcorn with curry in a bowl and set aside. In another container, prepare the curry dressing and honey. Mix both ingredients until you create a paste and then pour into the bowl of reserved popcorn. Stir very well, until both products are integrated. Very easy!

Another option is the curry, lemon and coriander dressing. The process is similar to the previous step. Reserve the curry popcorn on one side. Meanwhile, in another bowl, pour the lemon juice, the grated lemon peel and the finely chopped coriander. Mix the three ingredients and add the resulting paste to the popcorn. Stir well until the dressing is incorporated. Easy among easy!

Tip: Honey softens the taste of curry. While the lemon dressing gives freshness to the appetizer.
