How to make Cuban Rice with Beans:

  1. Our first step to make the Cuban rice recipe is to prepare the ingredients.
  2. Cook the beans in a pressure cooker until soft and set aside.
  3. Remember that you must soak the grains in water from the night before.
  4. Trick: If you don’t have a pressure or express cooker, you can cook the beans in a normal pot, simply extend the cooking time
  5. Bring a frying pan over medium heat with the olive oil and make the base sauce.
  6. Add the white onion and the finely chopped bell pepper or paprika, sauté for a few minutes.
  7. Add the cooked black beans, salt, black pepper and garlic paste to taste to the stir fry. Mix the ingredients well.
  8. Add the white rice to the pan where we have the rest of the ingredients and mix very well.
  9. To make this recipe you can use the rice that you have left over from another preparation or make simple white rice.
  10. Separately, bring a pan with enough oil to fry over medium heat and once hot, add the diced ripe plantain.
  11. Cook well until golden.
  12. Remove our banana to a plate where you have absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
  13. Finally, add the plantains to our rice with beans and integrate well with our Cuban recipe.
  14. Serve the Cuban rice with beans adding a little sprinkled parsley on top to decorate.
  15. This recipe is really easy, simple and contains a lot of flavor, so do not hesitate to prepare it to accompany a fried fish, for example.
