Croissant Omelet Recipe

Ingredients to make croissant omelet:

  • 3 croissants
  • 5 eggs
  • 100 grams of ham or bacon in tacos
  • 50 grams of cream cheese that melts
  • 50 milliliters of heavy cream (¼ cup)
  • 1 splash of olive oil
  • 1 pinch of salt

How to make croissant omelet:

  1. To get started with the croissant omelet recipe, you must first chop up the main ingredient, the croissants.
  2.  So, add the pieces in the blender or robot and grind in batches to make crumbs. We point out that you can leave it very ground or leave the crumbs a little thicker.
  3. The croissants must be normal, without fillings or jams; you can use the day or take advantage of the ones left over from the previous day or two days.
  4. Add the eggs in a bowl and beat well, then add the cream to provide more creaminess to the tortilla and mix.
  5. Add the croissant crumbs and mix until everything is well soaked. Add salt.
  6. Cut the ham or bacon into small cubes; add it to the previous dough and mix.
  7. Prepare a non-stick pan over medium heat with a splash of olive oil, add half of the dough that we have prepared and with a spoon or a spatula, and flatten to add the cheese or any other ingredient.
  8. Cut the soft and creamy cheese and cover the entire base. You can also add Camembert, Brie, Reblochon, etc.
  9. Cover the cheese with the rest of the remaining dough and let set for a few minutes on one side.
  10. When you see that it is cooked on the sides and that it is curdled, it is time to turn the tortilla.
  11.  If you like it juicy let it cook for a few minutes and remove.
  12.  The melted cheese should remain, it will be better. Now you can enjoy a delicious croissant-filled omelet!
