Cream Tuna Salad Recipe

The tuna salad with cream is a normal tuna salad with mayonnaise, but in the best Mexican style. Tuna is one of the leanest, healthiest and most accessible proteins that we can find, in addition to being the main ingredient in countless preparations, each of them delicious.

Ingredients to make Tuna Cream Salad:

  • 2 cans of prickly pear in water
  • 2 pieces of Carrot
  • 2 pieces of potatoes
  • 1 cup of fresh peas or peas
  • ½ piece of lettuce
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

How to make Creamy Tuna Salad:

To start, cut the vegetables into small squares. To do this, we take the carrots and potatoes, peel them and slice them as we can see in the following image.

In a saucepan we place approximately two cups of water and put it on high heat, add a pinch of salt and wait for it to boil. Then we add the peas first, 5 minutes later the carrot and 5 minutes later the potato. Once all together, cook for 10 minutes or until the vegetables feel soft to the touch.

Meanwhile, we cut the lettuce into strips and put it to disinfect for approximately 5 minutes.

On the other hand, to make the dressing for our canned tuna salad, we mix the cream and mayonnaise and integrate perfectly.

Tip: If you want to make more salad, it is important that you remember that for every tablespoon of cream you must add two tablespoons of mayonnaise to improve the flavor. Add the tuna, perfectly drained and integrate very well with the cream and mayonnaise.

Once the vegetables are cooked, add them to the tuna with mayonnaise and cream, and integrate everything perfectly. You can add the lettuce together with the vegetables or when serving as an accompaniment to the creamy tuna salad.
