Cream of spinach with cream recipe

Ingredients to make cream of spinach with cream:

  • 1 bag of 500 grams of frozen or fresh spinach
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Water
  • 100 grams of liquid cream milk cream or lighter evaporated milk
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

How to make cream of spinach with cream:

  1. We prepare all the ingredients.
  2. The first thing to do is sauté the onion and minced garlic in a pot with a little olive oil.
  3. Add the spinach, sprinkle with salt and cover with water. Depending on whether they are frozen or fresh spinach, we will vary the time they should boil in the water. For fresh spinach about 5 minutes and for frozen about 7 minutes.
  4. Once cooked, we remove part of the cooking water, beat with the electric mixer until it has a texture to our liking, more or less liquid. If you want it more liquid you must add more water from the cooking.
  5. Add the cream or milk cream, if you want it lighter you can use evaporated milk. Taste and season if necessary, decorate to your liking and serve hot.
