Cream of peas with chicken recipe

Ingredients to make Cream of peas with chicken:

  • 300 grams of peas
  • 1 cup of milk (240 milliliters)
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 unit of cooked chicken breast
  • 3 units of Potatoes
  • 2 units of white onion
  • 1 pinch of garlic paste
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 1 pinch of dried thyme

How to make Cream of Peas with Chicken:

  1. The first step to make our recipe is to pre-list the ingredients for the pea cream.
  2. Once we have everything ready, bring a pot with enough water to medium heat. When the water is about to boil, add the peas and cook them until they are at the desired doneness. Remove them from the water and reserve them.
  3. Cut the potatoes into medium squares and cook until soft.
  4. Take a deep pot over medium heat and add the white onions with a little oil. In the photograph you can see how I used pieces of some onions that were left over from another preparation, so it is very important to always try to take advantage of the leftover material and not waste it.
  5. Add the potatoes and peas that we had reserved in the previous steps to a pot with the chicken broth, leave to keep over medium heat for approximately ten minutes.
  6. Remove the soup ingredients to a bowl so we can blend or process with a mixer. Thus, process the ingredients until they are fully integrated.
  7. Return the processed ingredients to the pot and cook for another 10-15 minutes. Then, add the milk, thyme, garlic paste, salt and pepper to taste to the pea cream.
  8. Place a little shredded chicken in the bottom of each of the plates where we are going to serve our healthy cream.
