Cream millefeuille recipe

In this article we are going to prepare a simple and very attractive dessert, this is a cream mille-feuille. This delicious dessert is filled with a delicious homemade cream that is very easy to make, and can also be used as an accompaniment to many desserts.

We want to emphasize that this dessert is simpler than it seems, we just have to make the cream and buy some rectangular puff pastry sheets. When you try it you will repeat it again. Keep reading and stay with us to prepare a cream millefeuille!

Ingredients to make Millefeuille cream:

  • 1 rectangular puff pastry sheet
  • 3 tablespoons of icing sugar
  • for the cream
  • 500 milliliters of milk
  • 4 units of egg yolks
  • 40 grams of cornmeal (Maicena)
  • 100 grams of sugar (½ cup)
  • 1 dessert spoon of vanilla aroma

How to make Cream Strudel:

  1. We will put the oven to heat at 200ºC. We will have the puff pastry in the fridge, it must be very cold.
  2. Next, we separate the whites from the yolks. In a saucepan that can be put on the fire, we will put the milk, the egg yolks, the sugar, the teaspoon of vanilla aroma and the cornmeal (cornstarch).
  3. With a few rods we will beat well until everything is well integrated and the cornmeal is all dissolved in the milk.
  4.  Next, we must heat the saucepan over medium heat, stirring everything well until the cream begins to thicken.
  5. When the cream begins to thicken, let it boil for a few seconds, set aside and continue stirring so that it is a fine cream without lumps.
  6. Let the cream warm until it is cold.
  7. Once it is colder, we cover the cream with a sheet of transparent film, the plastic sheet must be stuck to the cream so that it does not get air and a hard crust forms.
  8. Next, we put the cream in the fridge until it is very cold. The cream can be made in advance.
  9. Next, we prepare the puff pastry. So, we cut the puff pastry sheet into three equal strips, we point out that with a ruler you will do it better.
  10. Next, we will put a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet, on top of the paper we must place the strips of puff pastry.
  11. Also, on top of the puff pastry we will put another sheet of paper.
  12. On top of the puff pastry we will also place another plate so that it does not rise.
  13. As you know, the puff pastry rises a lot and for this dessert it is better that it does not rise so much, for this reason we will do it this way.
  14.  We assure you that it will be a crunchy and very good sheet of puff pastry!
  15. We put in the oven and leave it until the puff pastry is golden, approximately 15-20 minutes, everything will depend on the oven.
  16. We must point out that it is necessary to control at all times so that it does not burn us.
  17. When it’s golden we take it out and let it cool. We put a sheet in a serving dish.
  18. On top of it we cover with the creamthat we have prepared previously.
  19. On top we put another sheet of puff pastry and another layer of cream
  20. We finish with the last sheet of puff pastry, sprinkle with icing sugar and serve. And it’s ready to eat!
