Crazy Empanadas Recipe

Ingredients to make Empanadas de locos:

  • 3 locos cooked and chopped (mollusk that can be found under the name of canned abalone in Chinese food stores)
  • 1/3 finely chopped onion fried and without browning
  • 1/2 cup crazy broth
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • Salt

Ingredients for the dough:

  • 2 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 of unmelted butter with 25g of butter
  • 1 cup of hot water (for soft dough).

How to make Crazy Empanadas:

The flour is dissolved in the broth, it is cooked a little, the other ingredients are added, and it is left to cool. Large or small empanadas are made. Oven ½ hour more or less.

To make the dough:

Sift the flour with the baking powder and salt. It is placed on the table and an egg is made in the center; butter and water are placed in it, it is not rubbed, it is put together and hit several times against the table, it is used thin in long strips 10 centimeters wide. Piles of stuffing are placed along the strips. The edge is moistened and the content is well closed by folding the dough.
