Crab Fritters Recipe

Ingredients to make Crab Fritters:

  • 1 can of crab
  • 300 gr. of prawns
  • 75 gr. of bacon
  • 1 tablespoon of “nouc mam”
  • a pinch of pepper
  • a pinch of sugar
  • Oil
  • for the pasta
  • 125 gr. Of flour
  • 50 gr. cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 2 egg whites
  • 150 ml. of water
  • Salt

How to make Crab Fritters:

  1. Drain the crab meat and remove any cartilage.
  2. Put it in a bowl with the peeled prawns, the bacon without skin and cut into pieces.
  3. Beat until you get a fine mincemeat. Then add the sugar, the pepper and the “nouc mam”. Mix well.
  4. Put the flour, cornmeal and yeast in a large salad bowl, mix well, form a well and add the water, little by little, to obtain a thick dough.
  5. Beat the egg whites until stiff with a pinch of salt and then carefully fold them into the pasta
  6. Add the hash to the pasta, mix well. Form balls with a large spoon or cut into triangles and place them in the hot oil.
  7. Let fry until they are golden on the outside. Drain on absorbent paper and serve.
