Crab Empanadas Recipe

Ingredients to make Crab Empanadas:

• 1/ kilo puff pastry, thawed

• 1 peeled and grated potato

• 185 grams canned crab, drained

• 2 teaspoons of mayonnaise

• 1 1/2 teaspoons sour cream

• 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives

• 2 teaspoons minced fresh dill

• 1 teaspoon lemon juice

• 1 to 2 drops of Tabasco sauce

• freshly ground black pepper to taste

• 1 egg slightly chopped

How to make Crab Patties:

Spread the pasta and using a saucer of 13 cm. in diameter, cut 6 circles set aside. Put potato, crabmeat, mayonnaise, sour cream, chives, dill, lemon juice and Tabasco sauce in a bowl, stir well and season with black pepper. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and put in each center of each circle of pasta. Brush the edges of the pastry with eggs, forming a ribbed edge. Brush the empanadas with egg, arrange on a greased baking sheet, and bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot.
