Crab Cakes Recipe

Ingredients to make Crab Cakes:

  • 2 cups of mayonnaise
  • 3 minced garlic
  • 1 lemon zest
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 handful of chopped parsley
  • 1 handful of chopped dill
  • the pancakes
  • 2 minced garlic
  • 5 whole chopped chives
  • 4 Piquillo bell peppers
  • 1 handful of parsley
  • 1 egg
  • ground bread
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or crab dip
  • 1/2 pound crab meat or imitation crab
  • Ground Parmesan cheese scrambled with some very finely chopped rosemary

 How to make Crab Cakes:

  1. For the mayonnaise, mix all the ingredients very well and put it in the refrigerator.
  2. In a frying pan, add extra virgin olive oil with a little butter and fry the chopped garlic, chives, parsley and bell peppers.
  3. Take them out of the pan and put them in a bowl, add the crab meat, the cream or the dip, the breadcrumbs, the parmesan cheese mixed with chopped rosemary, the egg and salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Stir everything very well and make the pancakes by hand, roll in breadcrumbs and fry in olive oil with butter. They are served with mayonnaise.
