Ingredients to make covered soup:
- 1/2 kilo of charque de res (dried meat)
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 cups of rice
- 3 hardboiled eggs
- 1 large onion
- 1 tomato
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon of food coloring
- black olives to garnish
How to make covered soup:
- Cook the charque in a pot with water and once cooked, grind it in the taco, until there are fine pieces left, (if not finish cutting with the knife that remains in small strips).
- Cook the bananas, cut them into squares like the eggs.
- Fry the onion in a pan until golden. Add pepper, cumin and salt, add the chopped tomato and when it melts add the dye, meat, eggs and bananas.
- Cook the rice with water and salt and 1/2 onion.
- In an oven source, put half of the rice, cover it with the previous preparation, cover it with the other half of the rice, and put it in the oven for about 20 minutes, decorate with hard-boiled eggs and black olives.
