Ingredients to make Couscous with turmeric:

  • 250 grams of Couscous
  • 250 milliliters of Water
  • ½ unit of white onion
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • Olive oil
  • 1 pinch of Salt and Pepper

How to make Couscous with Turmeric:

  1. Before making this recipe, the first step is to get all the ingredients ready.
  2. In a pot with olive oil, fry the finely chopped onion over low heat until transparent.
  3. Add the raisins and turmeric powder, fry for another minute and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the water and wait until it is hot without breaking a boil. Then turn off the heat and rectify the flavor with salt.
  5. Add the couscous, wait about three minutes for the semolina to absorb the water.
  6. Once ready, serve and enjoy. This couscous with turmeric is ideal to accompany a dish of curried chicken or a ginger fish fillet
