Corn Cream Recipe

Ingredients to make Corn Cream:

  • 1 medium finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons of Butter
  • 3 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • ¾ cup of milk (180 milliliters)
  • ¼ cup creamy soft cheese
  • 1¼ cups chicken broth
  • 1 can of sweet corn
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of ground black pepper
  • ¾ cup of heavy cream (150 milliliters)
  • 100 grams of cooked chicken

How to make creamed corn:

  1. Fry the onion over low heat for 2 minutes. Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, mix with the cheese, stirring it, little by little add the broth and milk and beat until obtaining a homogeneous mixture.
  2. Add the corn, salt and pepper to taste and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Add the cream and, stirring gently, heat.
  3. Pour into individual plates, sprinkle each serving with chopped ham or chicken, previously heated.
  4. Serve accompanied by hot, golden bread.
