Cookie Champurrado

FoodsDiary By FoodsDiary
  1. 1 package of cookies type Maria
  2. 1 liter of milk
  3. 2 cups of water (480 milliliters)
  4. 1 can of evaporated milk
  5. 1 cinnamon stick
  6. 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  7. 50 grams of piloncillo or the sweetener you want

  • Heat the milk, cinnamon and piloncillo and stir constantly so that the piloncillo dissolves easily.
  • In the blender, add the evaporated milk, water, vanilla and cookies and blend until the cookies are completely ground. You can make the Maria biscuit champurrado or use other sweet biscuits that you have at home, they even serve the typical homemade vanilla biscuits.
  • Tip: You can also first grind the cookies in a food processor and add them to the blender as flour.
  • Add the blended cookie mixture to the pot where you have the milk and heat over medium-low heat, stirring constantly. Let it boil and get the desired consistency.
  • And that’s it, serve the cookie champurrado recipe in individual cups to keep the heat in and enjoy it hot. Children will love this drink, but adults will also appreciate it on cold days. You can also learn how to prepare the traditional Mexican champurrado with this other recipe.
