Cooked Galician octopus recipe

Ingredients to make Cooked Galician Octopus:

  • 1 large or 2 small octopus
  • 1 medium potato with skin
  • Water
  • virgin olive oil
  • coarse salt
  • Sweet or spicy paprika (according to taste)

How to make Cooked Galician Octopus:

  1. Put in a pot plenty of water with salt. When it starts to boil, scare the octopus 3 times and cook it together with the potato.
  2. When the potato is cooked (approximately 20 minutes) the octopus will be ready. Let stand briefly before serving.
  3. Remove the octopus from the water, cut it into small pieces (bite size) and serve on the typical wooden plate.
  4. If you don’t have it, any dish can be used. Season it with coarse salt and paprika; and drizzle with virgin olive oil.
